2011 – 2012 Parkside Perspectives Yearbook
Being a member of the Yearbook Staff requires a major commitment of time and effort. In order to avoid unnecessary conflicts concerning expectations and responsibilities, please read the rules carefully before deciding to join. Remember, most of your work will be completed before school so you must arrange for transportation by means other than the school bus.
Rules:
- Students will be responsible for working before school beginning at 7:45AM. (Actual schedule to be determined.)
- Photography students will be required to take pictures at games as well other school events.
- Students will be required to work during designated Market Day deliveries and other fund-raising activities.
- Students must maintain academic/citizenship eligibility as established for extra-curricular activities in the Student Handbook.
- The Yearbook requires teamwork and students must work hard at performing their role as a team member.
- Working on the Yearbook Staff requires a professional attitude. Therefore, students must:
• be on time for meetings and scheduled events
• be honest and trustworthy
• be dependable and responsible
• use their time in a productive manner
• show respect and be courteous to peers and staff
• use good judgment when photographing events
• strive toward fairness and accuracy when covering events and class activities
7. Attendance will be taken at each meeting. Students are allowed 3 unexcused and 6 excused absences. If absences exceed these allowances the student will be dismissed from yearbook.
- If a student fails to meet these standards, they can be dismissed from the Yearbook Staff. This will be determined at the discretion of the Advisor.
