Spelling City Information

Directions to access the spelling lists for Parkside 5th graders:
1. Search or type in the website www.spellingcity.com.
2. Click on the link ‘Find a List.’ It’s the second blue tab under
the city skyline logo.
3. Search for the list under Username. Our Username is
Parkside5.
4. Click on the appropriate list. We will be going in order through
the lists, beginning with Theme 1: Week 1: Short Vowels. (The 5th
grade list for all students is registered under Mrs. Derango’s
name.)
5. Once in the list, students can click on the following actions to
practice their spelling words: Test Me, Teach Me, or Play a
Game.
6. Please encourage your child to practice their words, including
their personal words (words that students choose at the beginning
of the week to spell for the test on Friday). Personal words are
not included in the Spelling City lists.
