Special Notes and Information for Parents and Guardians
- Book Levels and the Beginning of the Year
- To help all students get back into the swing of things and build their reading stamina, confidence, and overall reading interest, I encourage all students to read books that are slightly lower than their current reading level. I would prefer that students build up their reading confidence with many 'easier' books than one more difficult book. I have purposely stocked the classroom library with quicker reads. As our stamina increases, I'll begin adding more books. I want them to approach future material with confidence and excitement.
- Tips for Reviewing Material
- Have your child be the teacher. If s/he can explain what we are working on, s/he truly understand it. If not, it is easier to help your child develop questions to ask in the classroom to improve their understanding.
